Well...for me he's competent as fuck, has a great ass and gorgeous arms, a badass costume, and goes well with Natasha. The bow and arrow thing is admittedly hot too, but what little we've seen of his personality from the movies is ~intriguing~ to me.

And I've never read any of Hawkeye's older comics but I have been reading the new series and it's indescribably awesome. TBH I don't look at them as the same person though.

Me too, I have a hard time seeing movieverse Hawkeye and comics Hawkeye as the same person!

They do seem like totally different people! Though movie!Hawkeye is cool, comic!Hawkeye takes the cake. And probably shares it with his pizza dog.

It kind of does make me head-tilt when fanfic Clint gets portrayed as a guy who can't shut up, because my impression in the movie is that he doesn't talk much unless he's got something to say, but he'll say exactly what's on his mind.

Not that I mind fic!Clint. It's all good.

Yeah, IDC about different takes on fic!Clint, but sometimes he's portrayed as Tony-except-less-arrogant-and-more-easygoing and I'm like "oookaaayyy...that's very hard to picture...."
