Studio Ghibli is hit or miss for me. But I've seriously never watched Totoro with anyone who didn't end up loving it. My mom said it was her favorite movie ever, and my brother (who is in his thirties) has probably watched it more than I have (he says it lets him escape back to that feeling he had when he was a boy).

I like Ghibli for the most part but I didn't like Totoro. Honestly, I didn't even finish it. I'm 22 and it didn't hold my interest at all--Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle are my favorites.
