I am OP of 15. I was only vocally disapproving because I thought it would never happen and that fangirls were being silly and shallow. But I'm willing to see this as more than enough evidence of C/R canonicity, at least as much as we ever will given Cybertronian culture, and don't quite know how to eat my foot.

I'm pretty sure both Barber and Roberts have been having Prowl show plenty of emotion. Because Prowl is quite obviously losing his mind, and possibly his grip on reality, and that's hard to do without emotions.

And, as you said, table-flipping. "Does *this* when he's angry. ... .... "

But it was the other guy, the one that writes RiD that came up with Prowl-the-NAIL. Unless you're talking about Prowl/Chromedome, in which case...yeah, no.

Having just finished slogging through the bullshit that the man wrote as part of reading all of IDW's TF run, beginning-to-end, I'm in agreement with you.

OP rather severely doesn't get Prowl.

He's not cold, emotionless, robotic. The only Transformer that is is Shockwave (who explicitly removed his emotions). (And the writers can't even get that right, though they're closer than most writers who try to do that.)

Prowl is your standard issue authoritarian jackhole, no more emotionless than any human example of the type.

Well, I'm not sure I'd call Prowl "standard issue" on that measure. He needs to identify and accept that the war is over, and that he's the one scrapped, not society. Standard issue "soldier who doesn't realize the war is OVER" perhaps...

He's exhausted, and scared, and I'm still worried about what's going to happen to him when he realizes just what he's been doing. With Barber and Robots tied at the hip on the two titles, I'm definitely with the other anon/s concerned about Eugenesis callbacks.

Thing is, there's no real excuse for a lot of the things he did during the war, either. (Last Stand of the Wreckers is where he went from 'annoying good guy' to 'Designated Hero' in my book. Or would have, if the writers didn't seem to agree with me on that point. And I'd consider his actions there to be far more abominable than what he's done since the war ended.)
