Ugh i really agree. Because i know they're not meant to be taken seriously but normally I like hussie's characters even when they are jokes?? But these are just... bluh. It irritates me when I feel like he doesn't take his own comic that seriously any more when it's become something this big and is, you know, a multi-million dollar investment. I guess what I'm saying is that I understand the characters were meant to be crappy and make tumblr mad, but I don't think that was a good decision. It means I don't care what happens to them, and my interest in homestuck relies on me caring about the characters. The only one I'm incredibly fond of is meenah.

Hussie has never taken his comics seriously.
And something being marketable doesn't mean he should.

He has over 20 other artists involved. Sorry, but that counts as serious.
