I don't understand why anyone cares what their fandom friends look like in the first place, but this is a bizarre reaction to seeing a picture of someone. How 'This can't be you!' comes to mind in that situation is a mystery. Ugly or gorgeous...why would it even matter and why would one feel the need to make a big fuss about it?

It's totally weird!

I've posted a few pics of myself, but I'm neither gorgeous nor fugly, just average looking and I clean up okay when I make an effort.

When fandom friends post a pic, I always think it's neat to put a face to a name, but I'm not judging anybody's looks in any direction. It's not like I plan to date them or whatever. (I'm attached.)

The most I've ever thought about a fandom friend was “She/he's gorgeous!" And that was about the extent of it. Idk what people's issues are, lol.

I don't mind seeing pictures either, it just isn't super important to me.
