That's interesting...I tend to visualize all my fandom friends as being very attractive (vastly moreso than I am) and to be a bit taken aback when it turns out one of them isn't, though by this time I should really know better. Either way it's bogus to give somebody crap about their appearance.

I tend to do this too.

Anyway, that sucks, OP. Those "friends" sound like jerks.

Yeah, people are pretty much their icons to me until I see otherwise. (And sometimes even after I see otherwise.)
