You should hang out with different people!

My section of fandom is pretty much all Thomas fans. lol.

We're also Mary fans.

And I don't think that is a coincidence. I agree that Thomas is kind of an ass as a way to protect himself against a world that would hate him just for who he is. And I think that in series 1, Mary was cold because she was angry at a world that would deny her the right to inherit because she was a woman.

Not OP, but where is your section of fandom? It seems like I keep finding the pockets that are anti-Thomas which makes me sad.

Someone else in this thread recommended ontd-downton and that's definitely a good place to start finding Thomas fans. There are lots of us there!

There are people who AREN'T Mary fans? How does this happen?

(I just watched the first two seasons for the first time and I'm scared to venture into fandom because of spoilers so idk what's going on.)
