This comparison actually kind of annoys me, because X-Files was awesome, all on its own. It doesn't need to be an adaptation of a way overused source material (which ACD is, feelings on the stories themselves aside) to be an awesome thing.

Also, like a previous comment said: you don't have to like Elementary anyway. You aren't obligated to do so because on of the mains is female.

Pretty much this, though I enjoy Sherlock and Elementary. I don't really get the Sherlock Holmes comparison anyway, but to each their own.

No offense OP, but I wish we could have more Elementary secrets that weren't about simply watching the show or not watching the show.
