When I was six or seven, I was running around the house with a friend, jumped on the couch, and the tip of a pencil jabbed my foot and snapped off. The piece of graphite is still in there today.

I.... just now realized how odd that is.

I have graphite in both hands from pencils too. It's not that uncommon?

Oh, good, now I don't feel as weird. I've never come across anyone else with graphite underneath their skin permanently.

My dad has the same thing but in his hand where another kid stabbed him with it.

I too have a piece of graphite suck under my skin. A kid in school stabbed me with his pencil because I didn't get him the book right away. And he never got in trouble for it.

So you're not alone!

I did this too. I was scooting my chair forward in 4th grade, and the pencil was in my hand. The eraser hit the desk, jammed the pencil tip into my hand, and to this day I have a tiny black mark under my skin I assume is pencil lead.
