Soul society arc was the only good bleach arc.

I have to agree. Though I haven't read it in a couple of years, so I can't speak for the newer arcs. The Arrancar bored me, especially Grimmjow, I have no idea how he became so popular.

I can't speak for others, but as someone who loves Grimmjow, I can tell you why I like him.

First I liked him for his looks, no point in hiding it. Then I began to like his badass nature. Bad-boys are fun--in fiction. (I'd be terrified of him IRL, but this is not real, so yay!) Next I adored his fixation on Ichigo, which just fueled my squee whenever they were flirting--I mean, FIGHTING. Then I learned of his twisted sense of honor when he saved Orihime from being beaten by other lower-rank Arrancars, sort-of-in-return for her restoring his place in the Espada. But then he also gagged her and put her on a leash to take her to heal Ichigo--all so he and Ichigo could fight as equals. Yeah, twisted sense of honor. And then in his big final battle, he just might have been redeemed if the damned Spoonhead hadn't interrupted their fight by almost chopping him in half. :C

Anyway, that's why I like him. Have a Grimmjow keychain and everything. ^^

Well, he didn't catch my interest, but he is incredibly popular (or was, at least, when I was in the fandom), and I'm all for people enjoying what they like! There's no lack of characters to choose from in this canon, after all...

Oh yes, everyone likes what they like. If we all liked the same things, life would be boring. C:

I agree, there is definitely no lack of Bleach characters in canon. At least just about everyone has a different character design, so they're easy to tell apart!

+1

Soul Society arc was the best. Early HM and late HM was ok too. It dragged from time to time but a lot more was fit into every chapter than the current Bleach.
