(Anonymous) 2012-11-08 01:48 am (UTC)(link)I think I can sort of see where you're coming from with the comparison between the characters, what with Mulder having a kind of gift for what he does, and Scully being the medical expert, and the two of them being close and supporting each other. However, I don't think that's quite right. Holmes is all about the observation of small details, while Mulder uses intuition and empathy. Watson is more of a direct assistant to Holmes, whereas Scully helps Mulder by holding him accountable to, well, lots of things. Besides, I kind of think that Mulder and Scully deserve to be their own legendary duo. =)
