I was 13, and wearing....white jeans! Yay! In school! I went to the bathroom and went 'omg!' I knew about periods, but i was horrified that it had already leaked through to my jeans.

I shoved a ton of toilet paper into my underwear (no machine *and* no money) and went to the nurses and called home.

Started having nasty cramps by the time my mom got there, and she was sympathetic and a little teary. But no big deal was made of it, and i started a thirty-odd year hate-affair with my uterus.

My period didn't start at school, but it was really irregular and I ended up having a similar experience once. My mom had to bring me clean jeans to school because I leaked through the pair I was wearing, and one of the boys in my class teased me constantly about it for months afterwards. D:
