(Anonymous) 2012-11-08 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)

It's troll secret day.

Either that or there were some seriously slim pickings this week.

I am going with slim pickings.

(BTY, I love that phrase, "slim pickings." Especially when said with an American Southern accent. Preferably Georgian or Tennesseean.)

(Anonymous) 2012-11-08 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
that phrase always makes me think of the actor slim pickens, which makes me think of dr. strangelove...

hey, can we derail this thread into a discussion of awesome old movies before it turns into a clusterfuck of racism and anti-semitism?

If the mods approve. They might let us do it a little but too much and they shut it down.

But if we are talking about awesome old movies, my list includes;

The original The Man Who knew Too Much with Peter Lorre and the fantastic chair fight scene.

Arsenic and Old Lace with Cary Grant and, yes, Peter Lorre. I am fan to say the least.

And Stairway to Heaven (A Matter of Life and Death) Love the visuals and Conductor 71 is such a hoot of a character.

I just watched the Battleship Potemkin - as silent movies go, it was one of the least boring I've ever watched. It had a baby carriage roll down some stairs and then fall over while people were getting shot. Take that, values voters! Movies were always violent and horrible.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-09 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
I read that as "Battleship Pokemon" and was momentarily excited and baffled.

You've encountered a wild Bolshevik!

Report to bourgeois officers

If it's not Hetalia, it SHOULD be.

Oh, Palestine-san~

(Anonymous) 2012-11-09 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
But there isn't a Palestine in Hetalia?

There should be though. Then I could write Israel/Palestine slashfic just to piss off the SJWs.

FUND IT

(Anonymous) 2012-11-09 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
There's a story about the real age of countries (it was written before than Hetalia). Sadly I couldn't find it in English, only in Spanish :( If you can still read it - http://editorialorsai.com/blog/post/espana_deci_alpiste#com41944

oops, sorry... real link - http://editorialorsai.com/blog/post/la_verdadera_edad_de_los_paises

This would make me interested in Hetalia fandom, although I would feel like a very bad person after reading it.

You can start feeling bad now.

Your link, it is broken.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-09 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
da

works for me

try copy and paste?
sabotabby: (lolmarx)

[personal profile] sabotabby 2012-11-11 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That works. Also, hahahah.

The pedant in me thinks that they should both be women, though (yes, I know that is not the point of Hetalia).

(Anonymous) 2012-11-09 11:06 am (UTC)(link)
There's no Palestine in Hetalia. But there's already a couple of Israel/Palestine slashfics.

I would think to apply Afghanis-tan to this secret before Hetalia

(though I've never read it besides the 9/11 strip because people were angry about it a while back)
