I would've thought Thor fit the Mary Sue mold more. At least Steve can be a jerk, has inner turmoil, and isn't ridiculously overpowered. Thor, on the other hand, is loving, sweet, handsome, accepting of everyone's faults, is probably the only Marvel character who hasn't been a douche at some point, and is pretty much the most powerful member on the team.

Not that that's a bad thing, honestly. I adore both Steve and Thor and the term "Mary-Sue" needs to be put to death already as it has lost all meaning.

Or the possibly-sceptre-induced argument in Avengers.

Don't get me wrong, Thor's probably my favourite character on the current team. But he has definitely pulled some grade-A jerkassery.
