Man, I used to love Gravitation so hard. I had been a slash shipper before reading it and when I discovered a manga with characters who were actually gay (or bi or whatever they were), I was so excited (because I guess I thought Gravitation was the only one out there). I thought it was a masterpiece. Like, no joke, it was poetry that spoke to my soul. Whenever I read it, it gave me hope that that if they could be together despite the fact that they were both men and despite all the crazy problems they had to overcome, then one day I could find someone too (this was also before I realized that yuri was a thing).

Of course when I re-read it again recently, I realized that I couldn't stand it. Shuichi was the most annoying character ever and Yuki was such an asshole. I was so sad :(

This is exactly why I've never gone back and re-read it. I'd rather just keep enjoying it through my rose-tinted nostalgia goggles.

I do still totally look at the Remixes, though. Those don't count.
