I have, for years and years and years, loved Titanic AUs. People don't really write them anymore, because that movie came out a good 16 fucking years ago now, but once upon a time, they were everywhere. Jack and Rose were in high school, or they had grown up together, or what the fuck ever. IT WAS AWESOME.

What was even more awesome was when everyone was time warped. Like, suddenly Caledon Hockley was in the '90s. Can you fucking imagine that shit? Gold.

Also, something just occurred to me. Do you hate it equally as much when someone write a "what if such and such plot line had gone in such and such direction" fic? 'Cause, see, I can see you disliking other sorts of AUs. But if you dislike, say, fic that was written after a cliffhanger and that turned out to (obviously) be off the mark, then I think you're a fucking moron.

It's not Titanic AUs, but I have a weakness for Notting Hill AUs. Which is weird because I think that movie is painfully boring. But in fic form? Hell to the yeah.
