I was always pretty ambivalent on AUs, until I got into Once Upon A Time. Then I found two of the most epic Rumbelle AUs ever (Black-Flagged and Hit Me) and I still can't get over how much epic detail/awesomeness is in both.

(... also Dresden Files fandom (The Stars and Scones Bakery and Coffee Shop will never not be one of the best things ever), but that was a given, considering how much of that fandom is just deconstructing the source text. xD)
