(Anonymous) 2012-11-13 12:53 am (UTC)(link)We still don't know for sure if she was fired or not, and whether it happened because of the scandal or if it was something that had been decided earlier because the sequel would focus on the Huntsman, like it was reported when the movie first came out, back in June. If she got fired because of the cheating and the director got to keep his job, that would be a gross double-standard, absolutely, and anyone who says otherwise is delusional.
But that was not what the original comment and my reply were about, we were talking about the media portrayal of Kristen, and like I said, except of a few articles that came out immediately after the pictures were published, the media in general has been very kind to her. I definitely agree that she shouldn't get crucified and blacklisted from Hollywood because of what happened, but some of the things said in her defense were ridiculous, people could have pointed out the sexism in the situation and how unfair it would be for her career to get damaged because of it, without making excuses for what happened because of her age, because she was under pressure and scrutiny.
