If it weren't for crack!vids, I wouldn't be in the Sherlock (BBC) fandom and thought the guy who played Mycroft was actually playing Sherlock for months. You entertain yourself how you entertain yourself and involve yourself how much you involve yourself. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

Aw, I'm sorry that play was ruined for you. It's actually my favorite.

I read it in high school and we each had to perform a monologue for our English class. Without telling my teacher I got a group in on it and we did a scene with two Lady Macbeths chewing out a cowering Macbeth. My teacher squealed when he saw it. Ah, that's a great memory.

Well, I think it's okay that you don't like it while people like me adore it. Everyone is allowed to have different tastes.

If, and only if, you actually want to like it maybe you could try to bury the bad memories under making new good memories about it.

This is my first time really in fandom (looking for fic, fanart, trying to know beyond canon) but the wank in OUaT is ridiculous, shipping and apologist wank is the worst here. Lately when discussing episodes I don't even disclose my OTP, pointless since everyone usually has an opinion against an OTP.

Me too, OP. I mean on the one hand I think it's great that they're so okay about it, but I'm still 100% convinced it's going to end badly for everyone. And honestly the more I learn about Teen Wolf actors etc on twitter the less I like them, so.

I kinda have a huge soft spot for people's mary-sues in general, i just like to read them and think they are cute, and a lot of times I just want to see whatever angsty character I like live happily ever after. I havent made a mary-sue character in ...gosh 12 years?? but I still think they are cute, you go on Sues get down with your sparkley-poo selves.

The thing that disturbs me most about the whole Kristen Stewart cheating "scandal" is that the married fortysomething got no flack for it, even though he should have been the mature head in the situation (being older and married). Misogyny much?

Then again, this happens a lot. Robert Downey Jr. was arrested for drugs several times and now he's starred in three summer blockbusters. Winona Ryder was arrested for shoplifting at around the same time and I haven't seen anything from her recently. This doesn't have anything to do with Angelina Jolie, but I'm pretty sure the only reason she was forgiven is because the media villified Jennifer Aniston (and not Brad Pitt, of course) instead.

Teal deer says that both "scandals" reek of sexism.
