I go at least once a month to Barnes and Nobel with a friend. He usually buys stuff more than I do but I do like to look. I have gotten some cheap stuff in the sale section.

Back in my hometown there there's a store called Hastings. I think it's a decent sized chain so other people might know of it. Anyway I went back home a few months ago and found it was still there but now they also have used books. They were also having a sale when I was there so I ended up buying about $20 that amounted to 6 books at least 2 of them hardback. I was quite thrilled.

I also go to the comic book shop at least once a month and try not to spend too much.

Although I've never sat and read a book in the store so I can't say I feel for you there.
