Wait... the elitists aren't making progress, as in the elitists on TV Tropes?

I know about some of the more creepy and horrible shit that the abomination that is TV Tropes' forums, discussions, Troper Tales, Fetish Fuel etc. etc. have produced, but I have not seen its own members "making autism jokes for the sake of making autism jokes".

Are you saying that one of the most unanimously autistic sites on the internet that isn't explicitly about autism is populated by elitist Social Darwinists who make autism jokes?

Anyway, I'm not sure what you expect, as I'm not sure TV Tropes can improve. It would have to cease to be TV Tropes, basically.

I'm talking about the people against TV Tropes. I can't have a discussion without goons/EDiots showing up. They tend to carry out good points about why TV Tropes is the way it is, but I'm butthurt because I'm autistic. I can't accept that the site is overpopulated with special kids like me, which partially brought it down the shitter.

Okay, I was pretty confused because of the line about "too busy wallowing in their elitism to make progress". I wasn't sure if you meant personal progress in... not being an asshole, or something, which has nothing to do with TV Tropes, or progress in making TV Tropes better, which is nonsensical, because people who hate TV Tropes aren't obligated to improve it.

Also not sure what you mean when you say you can't "accept" that it's overpopulated with people with autism. Because... it is, but what brought it down the shitter is the fact that it's become an orgy of people encouraging terrible traits and shutting out criticism. It's perfectly possible to be autistic and not a creepy pedophile or whatever, obviously, but there's just no denying that it's there.

I mean, it's a website about obsessively categorizing arbitrary cliches and definitions in works of fiction, many of which are already well-liked by people with autism to begin with (anime in general, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc).
