Well. That's really weird (the stuff you read years ago, not the fact that you don't like it).

At the same time, it's the internet, and the internet is often weird (and irrational). So I can totally see it happening.

But, whatever, either way. It's okay to hate a piece of media that a lot of other people like. No one gets to tell anyone else which media to like or dislike (lots of people like to think that they get to tell others this, but they're delusional).
