Maybe he is "weird and distant" because he, too, harbors thoughts of a different kind of relationship? I mean, for him to even be willing to do a fanservice cosplay like that...

that thought totally came to mind for me, but I think it's probably because i read too much fanfiction.

Plus, if anon decides that's what it is and asks his brother about it and his brother is actually being weird and distant because he's creeped out by incest that would make it so much worse.

and even though I find this sort of situation really fun to read about in FICTION the idea of real incest sort of creeps me out so I don't know how to feel about this.

Haha, yeah, I'm fairly positive that the thought only came to me because of fanfic/original stories/BL manga/etc.

And the disclaimer at the end totally had to do with your second point -- I don't think I'd ever advice anyone in RL the way I did above. He'd be likely to alienate his brother forever, unless he does indeed return the feelings (and the chance is slim, let's be honest).

I don't think it's true either, but I also think that siblings think of each other in such flat out non-sexual ways that it doesn't bother them to pose together or touch each other.
