for coming out/admission things, i feel horrible and blurt it out (when i feel more Horrible than Reality and am thus detached enough to get it out) and after it's out i suddenly find myself much more stable and able to cope with any consequences than i could have imagined

OP here:
I totally get you. I came out to my mom after a huge fight, when I just had stopped caring, so I wrote her a letter and hid in the woods for four hours.
I was kinda hoping my business with dad would go more smoothly. I'll probably just start crying before I can tell him anything, but... I'm hoping I don't have to go to the woods to hide this time.
