2. Atlantis?

16. Because make-believe pairings make more sense than what the creator was intending?

Make-believe pairings? The hell?

Okay, just to elaborate:

I'm not into this whole "zero-sum" idea of pairings. That is, I don't think simply because Sally likes Ted, Sally therefore has to like John less. That sort of relationship is nothing more than mere infatuation and imho, infatuation/crushes that are carried on to be canon and "the tru wuv of a lifetime" are nauseating. (Which is why so much of shoujo makes me want to throw up...)

But Ouran is very different from average shoujo in the pairing regard. :| There's ample evidence for just about ANY pairing. Don't give me this "what the creator was intending" crap like it negates all other context/subtext/everything else that ever happened in the entire world. It doesn't. Especially since the creator was the one who added in all the damn love triangles and evidence for other pairings.

Just to say: I'm not pissed or whatever. Maybe subconsciously cos my writing is coming off that way lulz. Anyway, sorry ahead of time cos I'm also too lazy to make it seem less mean/bitchy

The fact that you did reply twice kind of comes off as bitchy, but I don't mind. I expected worse. lol

I'm not singling out Ouran, but I do understand what you're saying.

From my perspective, I was looking at the meaning of the secret, rather than its relation to the series and how people always seem that their fan-based pairings make more sense than the valid and focused relationships that the creator intends on.

That's all I was refering to.

Lulz really, I didn't mean to come off as a bitch :<

But I guess in the end it's different strokes for different folks... Personally in Ouran I don't feel Tamaki/Haruhi have chemistry, but I'm sure there are others who will disagree with me. Maybe it comes down to tastes. But I know at least in Ouran, Mori/Haruhi and Kyouya/Tamaki really aren't fan-based pairings. Mori/Haruhi was to originally be canon and Kyouya/Tamaki... yeah. xD; No words needed... papa/mama, king/queen, etc.

But yeah. One of my pet peeves is people who ship obscure stuff just to go against that dirty word "canon". I think canon is only a dirty word when people try to use it in that awful zero-sum sense. Otherwise... *shrug*

And I think I swapped bitchy with incoherent...

Y'know, regarding Ouran, I always think the creator just intended for them all to have an orgy and have done with it.
I'd totally read it too
