Has it ever occurred to these people that maybe popularity says something about the quality of a show rather than the so-called stupidity of the fans?

conversely, if it's not popular, it doesn't mean it's crap either. why is that not taken into consideration? you immediately jumped on that it's unpopular for a good reason , yet there are times that something is popular for no good reason.

just like the het/slash, dub/sub debates, a never-ending battle.

Notice how I said I myself love obscure series. Hell, my favorite manga of all time is something hardly anyone has ever heard of.

I'm not saying popularity is a virtue, just that it is certainly not a vice.
