I felt bad for him, too. In... pretty much every movie. Guess his backstory really helps with that.
They sure are problematic movies if you want to get into analyzing them (with the whole "you have sex you die" thing going on), but then again a somewhat logic explanation was given with the fact Jason "died", in the first place, because two counselors were too busy getting it on to look after him. Besides, most of the time I just wanted to have some fun watching the body count going up and seeing which ways to kill people he'd bring up.

Oh, and while I rather like Kane Hodder's Jason, my favorite is the one in Freddy VS Jason. I think it was a guy called Ken Kirzinger playing him, but I'm not totally sure and too lazy to check. I also liked the Jason we got in the remake, the one that came out a few years ago.

Yes, that's his name. He also has a brief scene in Jason Take Manhattan, as the chef Jason throws against the wall in one scene.

In fairness to Hodder, his first movie was the seventh in the series. How many movie franchises--especially horror ones--are still good seven movies in?

I have no room to judge. I cry at the end of Hannibal every goddamn time. You can still have sympathy for the villain OP even if society tells you that you're not supposed to.

I'd certainly prefer that to getting panic attacks from those movies ... yeesh, wish I had your problems, anon!
