I ended up writing a 2000 word fic for nano last year and gave up.
This year I'm at 20k and can't go further on an original story. It sucks, it just sucks so I feel for you anon.
Back to the drawing board. I was hoping to accomplish at least one thing this year though.

I felt bad for him, too. In... pretty much every movie. Guess his backstory really helps with that.
They sure are problematic movies if you want to get into analyzing them (with the whole "you have sex you die" thing going on), but then again a somewhat logic explanation was given with the fact Jason "died", in the first place, because two counselors were too busy getting it on to look after him. Besides, most of the time I just wanted to have some fun watching the body count going up and seeing which ways to kill people he'd bring up.

Oh, and while I rather like Kane Hodder's Jason, my favorite is the one in Freddy VS Jason. I think it was a guy called Ken Kirzinger playing him, but I'm not totally sure and too lazy to check. I also liked the Jason we got in the remake, the one that came out a few years ago.

That's what you get. It's why I tend to shy away from any musician's actual life story if I can. Many of them are pretty twisted.

This is even more applicable to comedians.

I don't mind it if someone just likes the movies and don't want to get into the comics. The comics are very different from the movies, and some people just don't like comic books.

But I'd appreciate it if people who are only fans of the movies stop denying it and tag their fics accordingly. No, it's not a JiM fic if you use the movie-verse and just put a Loki in child-state in there.
