Could you elaborate on those implications? I liked American Gods and Anansi Boys (but I'm right with you on Neverwhere), but I always feel like I'm missing something with Gaiman.

Oh, yeah, I think there was some of that (couldn't get through American Gods a second time to verify, though). I actually expected there to be a lot more of it in Anansi Boys since so many of the characters in the story were Caribbean, but it was more like vaguely pan-African nonsense. Gaiman wouldn't commit when it came to the mythology so most of it was very watered down and indistinct.
