Have you ever thought that maybe it's people like you scaring those who are "not as into comics" off from even trying? Because I've seen this attitude around so much and it's like you can never be into comics enough. If you came in through the movies, that's not good enough. If you've started reading the comics then you've not read enough of them or the wrong ones. If you've read the popular ones but not the obscure ones, you're not good enough. If you don't have ALL the comics because maybe you just do not have the funds for it, that's not good enough. And the list goes on and on and on.

Why would anyone want to be in such a fandom?

Uh no? I usually try to get people INTO comics. The movies aren't comics. That's the problem. You can't be a comic geek if you don't read any comics.

That being said I have NO problem with people that love the movies. Just don't say you like comics if you don't read them. It's that simple.
