I don't really want to be too specific since I'd be absolutely mortified if it led to being de-anoned... I'll just say that the fandom is a popular video game.

*nods* That's exactly how I'm feeling. I mean, I'm actually fine if only one or two people comment, that's enough to make me happy -- but I get so paranoid and angsty if there's nothing but silence. (This time it's extra sucky, because I had another idea for a fic in this fandom. Now I feel like I probably shouldn't post it, so as to not bother/annoy anyone.)

I totally get the feeling. Sometimes I just wanted to delete my entire archive. And I dunno even what to tell you as a consolation. I just use AO3 and FFn for work preservation now, not really expecting comments or kudos... My fandoms are dead, that may well be the cause. And I have no idea about my writing quality, because it was estimated by, like, nobody. OK, I actually have four kudos per four works, but they're not even distributed evenly :) Did your previous works get any significant number of comments?

Well, at least it's nice to know I'm not alone -- still, I am sorry you feel that way.

My fandoms are usually dead too, or so obscure/rare that they're nonexistent. So the amount of comments I get vary; sometimes it's just one, other times a few more (don't think I've ever hit double digits though). Last time I posted a fic for this particular fandom I got four replies.

On the off chance you feel like de-anoning, I'd be happy to read your fics and give you my honest opinion! Well, provided they're fandoms I'm familiar with, otherwise it'd be a bit hard to give input.

Why, I'd love to. It wouldn't even be de-anoning, since my fandom accounts contain no personal information whatsoever and are not connected to the other parts of my web self.
