I was going to but then I remembered what goes on in fandom and became convinced it was nothing but bronies and A/B/O shippers wanting to clop and pretend to knot my self-lubricating ass. Someone else go.

I looked around at their "search" categories and am unimpressed. They have no asexual option. They label transgender under "sexual orientation". They have a ton of options under the search that you can't actually choose. I guess it's pretty early beta version but still.

color me confused, but why would they even need an asexual option for a dating site?

Asexual =/= aromantic.

(Legit question, though, for someone who maybe hasn't heard about it before! It can be contentious, but yeah, the more you know. ;D)

(Also, disclaimer, I'm a pan/queer person, so if any ace person wants to try to answer this better, have at it. Just figured it'd be good to say *something*.)

Asexual people can still be in a romantic relationship. They can still cuddle and have pillow talk with their loved ones.

Asexual people can date. Because some asexual people still want to fall in love and find their ~soulmate. I don't want to be alone and I like romance, I just don't have any interest in sex.

It's kind of difficult to navigate. There are really long checklists for what fandoms you're in, what languages you speak, other interests, plus a bunch of typical nerd questions ("What kind of super powers would you have?" etc). It doesn't automatically match you up with anyone, you have to do a search and check stuff off. There doesn't seem to be anyone in my area, much to my shock. (That was sarcasm. I am not shocked.) Looking under 'Online Now' I see a bunch of straight girls, mostly from the New York area, and a couple of dudes. YMMV on levels of creepiness.

The questions are kind of cute, but I hope they do something about 'transgender' being listed as an orientation. I would also suggest (if I cared enough to actually write to them with suggestions) filters so that you could browse just gay/bi women (or whoever you're actually looking for). The graphic on the header is also really creepy.

They have a facebook, but I refuse to touch facebook.
