I get it, OP. Slightly different, but I used to be able to ignore bad characterization for the sake of a plot I liked or a fic kink being hit. Even now I can ignore a little badness in certain circumstances (rare pairings, for example), but sadly there would be way more ways to scratch my fandom itches if I could ignore bad grammar and ooc dialogue.
