I love inter-church drama. Mostly because when they're fighting with each other they leave the rest of us alone. Three of the churches are on the same block and share parking which leads to so much passive-aggressive note leaving. Sometimes I hang out in the back of the library on Sundays to eavesdrop in case someone calls on Jesus to teach someone how to park again.

Once two church ladies waged a war with church signs about who stole whose recipe. Seriously. They kept putting up scriptures and "inspirational" quotes that were clearly passive-aggressive digs at each other.

And every year the churches try and out pious each other at the Hallelujah night. It's glorious and leads to things like passing out holy water punch that has actually had water from the Vatican mixed in. I shit you not.

The only thing all the churches have in common is hating the Cowboy Church that holds sermons and rodeos simultaneously and always has live music.

That sounds both ridiculous and amazing. With a side of annoying, but w/e.

I went once and was treated to a horrifying spiel about how hell is to break in the souls of non-believers like cowboys have to break in wild horses because they're too stupid to know how to behave.

So... as much fun as everything else was I stay away now.

Does that mean I'm a horse?

I think we're all horses but Christians are the ones God loved enough to allow them to be born to domesticated horsie parents?

IDK exactly because I chickened out once the preacher started comparing breaking bottles of water over a horse's head to being how missionaries used to terrorize heathens with visions of hell and how good Christians know better tactics now.

Reminds me a bit of that documentary I saw one on either the Discovery channel of NatGeo. Something about sermons involving snakes and possibly snake bites ...? IDK, I saw it years.

Oh god (pun in ten did). Them.

The one who handle snakes as proof of God's protection and refuse medical treatment if they're bitten. Recently a more well known pastor of snake-handling died of a snake bite pretty much the same way his father did.

It's just a cold. I was horsing around with my younger cousins outside today. It's my fault for wearing a jacket instead of a coat.

I know it was my own foalt. Hopefully it won't get much worse, or I'll have to call my boss and tell her I cantor make it in tomorrow. I've maneaged to work trough worse before, so if I hoof to work I'll be able to do it with neighry a whinney.

If you can't make it to work tomorrow, mareby you should try to get some work done at home -- make hay when the sun shines, you know?
