Tamora Pierce's latest books. I loved Evvy in SM, but she was so bland in Melting Stones. :( Idk, for a book with both Evvy and Rosethorn (two badass characters), I remember it as being quite a disappointment. I hope Battle Magic is as intense as those parts of WoTE were. *crosses fingers*

Also, yeah, Bloodhound... didn't work for me. Just didn't interest me, I guess. It seemed very slow, after Terrier. I don't want to read Mastiff, and that makes me sad, because Tamora Pierce, dammit.

Don't read Mastiff, it's terrible.

Like.

It skips a huge amount of time and character development (the opening scene is Beka at the funeral of her fiance who she'd just about been ready to breakup with already anyway, and who isn't any of the characters we'd met before), and then it really badly derails one of the main, important characters.
