Fandom hates Carla? I mean, yeah, she can be a little annoying at times, especially when the show paints her as being always right even when she's clearly in the wrong, but still.

huh, I never noticed the fandom hating Carla (of course, I haven't actually been in the fandom in...maybe four years). I thought they were all about the Elliot hating

Don't worry about it, Anon. Carla is awesome! I really missed her character during the season 9 almost reboot. Since it didn't really go anywhere, it was good that she'd moved on.

If fandom hates her, they're morons. Sure she's got a lot of flaws, but so does every single person on Scrubs. And Carla was an utterly amazing character the likes of which I have only rarely seen before during season 1, when the writers weren't trying to shoehorn her into various wifey stereotypes to be funny.

I'm here to say pretty much the same thing as the people above me: Fandom hates Carla? Seriously? She's not perfect, but no one on the show is, and that's kinda the point. There isn't a character on the show I don't like.

But still, how can Carla be so hated?

Fandom hates Karla? Huh. I see her as pretty much as annoying and as amusing as almost* everyone else in that show. She's not the best character, but she's no worse than most I'd say.

*'Almost' because Danni is one of the few characters in any show that I really would like to scratch from the screen in a painful, painful way. I would take 10 Wesleys over one of her. Blargh

I think it's because the writers didn't use her flaws for comedy as much. Also, real life, she's probably the person people would like to be around least (other than maybe Janitor).

I think you've been in the wrong corner of fandom, because my "fandom hates Carla? WAT" response has already been said by everyone above.
What possible reason can a large part of fandom have to hate her? The flaws that makes her character realistic?

What I've never heard of Carla hate, but saying that I don't really go into the fandom anyway.

So I guess I'll put my hand up to one of the people who rolled in the circles where she was reviled.

Any other series she'd be most obnoxious character, but Scrubs, well there's stiff competition*.

Because it's not really a show about doctors, it starts as a decent surprisingly moving comedy that then plays with your expectations by slowly makes you hate every single facet of every single character, until the smallest things in every scene drive you literally angry with rage.

*J.D. is obvious front runner.

I loved Carla, but hated Elliot - and JD, towards the end, tbh. Those two were annoying as hell, with their on and off. I found Carla/Turk a much more likable duo.

Oh what fandom hates Carla?! I found Elliot (and JD) several times more annoying than Carla. Carla was only annoying in that nosey, bossy, mother hen type way. Who doesn't have a friend who has little flaws like that though?

Whenever someone says "Fandom hates X Female Character!" and I'm like, "really!?" and then I think about it for 20 seconds and then I remember literally every female character gets hate for the dumbest reasons.

So in any case, I love Carla.

Yeah, Scrubs is my favorite show, but Carla always bored me :/

Gah, I never had any interest in Scrubs fandom, but let me guess - is this like so many other fandoms where one of the partners in the het canon relationship is hated because they "gets in the way of the ghei"?
