Fuck you, rest of the world, we got delicious turkey and pumpkin pie and mashed potatoes and that weird blood-red jello stuff that comes out of a can that we only eat on Thanksgiving. We are already fat and our jeans totally stretch, so ha!

Derailing into a food thread: The red jello stuff is actually cranberry sauce. I have a recipe for jalapeño cranberry sauce made with fresh cranberries that is super delicious. Not making this year though, since I've really got no one to cook for except my SO. I was going to tomatillo chicken enchiladas. Making 3 bean vegetarian chili instead. No pie or crumble because fuck it. Texas Thanksgiving, y'all.

Tamales are also a traditional Thanskgiving dish in Texas.
