Exactly, I've even heard SJW's saying that Turkish people are basically white and can't be oppressed, even though they are one of the MAJOR immigration groups in countries like Germany or Belgium, and they absolutely DO count as a minority group there.
And yeah, discrimination against Eastern European absolutely exists. I don't care if you don't want to call it racism, but it's ethnicity-based discrimination and it's absolutely n issue.

Alternatively, someone who is Latino wouldn't really register as "minority group", because we'd associate that with Spanish people, and those are just plain European to us.

(German native here)

German racism against Turkish people is... well, if that isn't racism, I don't know what it counts as.

There have been studies on this, even, with people sending resumes with clearly German and clearly Turkish/Italian/Polish names on them to companies. Of course, the German names got the best responses and the Turkish the worst. Polish and Italian was somewhere in between, but also clearly below the response to the German name.
