I've met a lot more people who squeal over how hot he is and how much of a woobie he is and how much they want to hug him and make excuses for his bigotry than actually call him out on being a bigot.

'course, those same fans are usually also the ones who'll jump on you or make passive-aggressive remarks if you interpreted Kanji as anything other than 100% heterosexual and Naoto as anything other than 100% cis woman, so...

If I remember right (it's been a while since I played the game), didn't the game intentionally try to point out that Yosuke was kind of a pathetic human being and really needed to examine his life? It's right there in his arcana, a possible interpretation of the Magician is "all flash, no substance"... Though I could be completely off-base, like I said, it's been a while since I last played P4, and I didn't really like Yosuke so I didn't pay very close attention to him.
