Not true.
Internet friends means I have to be online each day and read their journals, chat with them and spend online time with them. Also time-zones.

I've tried making fandom friends many times in different fandoms, but it always turned out the same. After a while they would say shit like "if you were my friend you would at least comment on my pictures" when I had an ass full of work to do IRL and couldn't be bothered to give her bad fanart any attention. Giving her concrit and looking at her stuff became a chore to me. Just like talking to people in text format, each one in a different window.

RL friends don't need you to babysit them all the time. At least not in my case.
Also, they're REALLY there for me when I need them and not 100 000 miles away. And, ynno, I can meet them IRL at least onc a week and do cool things with them other than hang in front of my PC all weekend long.

oh thank god it's not just me

i feel even shittier because none of my online friends even asked me to look over the stuff, but i felt that i had to read every single thing they ever posted, didn't know what to comment, and so on

and some of them posted more often than i logged in
