loki is such a shit villian, I still don't understand why he is so popular and tom can gtfo too

I'm still trying to figure out why people see Loki as such a great villain...

I'm neutral on Tom, but I'm tired of his face being all over Tumblr. (tired of his fans more than anything)

For me, he's not a great villain, but he made for a great catalyst for the actual main conflict of The Avengers (which was Avengers vs Avengers, not Avengers vs Loki), and he's entertaining as fuck to watch onscreen. But as a real villain...nope, not really.

Yeah, he's a really good actor, and like someone said, Loki *is* a good troll.

And Tom is good looking, just.. I don't get the whole obsession.

Yeah, he's an annoying, whiny little brat whose great master plan is beaten by, like, 5 people. He doesn't really do anything that badass or clever or funny.

I believe he's mostly considered a good villain because his competition sucks.

Hulk has the Army and General Ross, who are boring.

Captain America has Red Skull, which is a pretty standard mustache twirling villain.

Iron Man has... um... Justin Hammer? Iron Monger? That Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo guy? Iron Man doesn't have one big, main villain.

And Magneto and Doctor Doom are held hostage at Fox.

Not to mention Comic Book Loki is awesome.

So by comparison, Loki is the best villain we have right now.

This. I'd like to see Namor (it'd be hilarious but he could have potential as an ennemy and as an ally okay) but the copyright's probably gone somewhere since he's been with/against everyone. (Cap (Disney), X-men (fox), F4 (fox), etc...)
