I think being people attracted to an actor because of the character they play is definitely something that happens, but with Hiddleston I believe most fans are legitimately attracted to him as himself as much as they are with him as Loki. I think people love both Loki and Tom, and they like Tom because he played Loki, but I don't think there's a confusion between character and actor. Not like there is with Chris Evans, or even RDJ.

I like the way he looks because it reminds me of the hobbits in LOTR. Like he'd be good to hug and hang out and drink with.

fwiw, I find him more attractive than most actors, but that isn't saying much. He still registers as "kinda nice-looking, better than average" to me - not "super hot"

I went away to have a baby, and when I came back Bendict Cumberbatch had apparently turned into Tom Hiddlestone.

I think he's incredibly average looking. Not bad, but not hot, either. I know little about his personality but he seems easy to like, I suppose.

I just don't get the fascination with Loki. Completely shit villain, nothing attractive about the character at all. Just a whiny, genocidal douche bag. And people wet themselves over him? But then again, some people think *Snape* is sexy...

I think he's sorta cute mainly because I like how he behaves. It's very hard for me to separate an actor's behavior from their appearance and judge them solely on their appearance.

No comment on the personal taste thing, but yes, I think a lot of people have trouble separating actors from their characters, and when they start acting on it, it gets...pretty scary.

I agree anon. I think he's actually kind of weird looking. He seems like a really nice guy and of course to each their own regarding what people find attractive, though.

I try not to view actors that way, but that's definitely true for the Hiddlestoners, or at least the ones on Tumblr.

Also, get over the fact that he's not to your taste. I'm so sick of the "I don't find him attractive! YAY ME!" people.

(But yeah, sometimes I can feel you there, on not understanding why everyone seems to find X actor hugely attractive (seeing as I don't frequently find him attractive and I very, very rarely find Cumberbatch attractive, and they appear on my dash /all the time/). *philosophical shrug* Everyone has different taste?
