D: I've not had a similar experience, but yeah, that sucks. It's really sad when people like religious leaders and teachers and police officers - figures of public trust, FFS - start foaming at the mouth about things and basically talking crap. Especially when it's "All X's are horrible and want to murder ussssss, yes precioussssss." This is partly why we (future teachers) are told never to air our political views in the classroom, so as not to influence students. Of course, I guess you'd still get students who spewed hate, but a) it's a teacher's job to put a stop to that and b)it's REALLY fucking stupid to say things like that when you're a role model.
