It's Devil May Cry, video game series (uh, but also has a manga, comic book series, and anime, all based on different points of its timeline).

I'd been wondering when someone was going to put some secret to that vein on here, ha!

7. Well, aren't you just hot snot on a silver platter? I'm so sick of "OMG I LOVE FANDOM BUT I'M NOT LIKE THE PEOPLE IN IT THEY'RE DUUUUMB!!1!" secrets.

16. How about just not caring?

Yeah, I thought they were all right too! Not highbrow fiction by any means, but hey, it's a young adult title. I wasn't expecting poetry.

[identity profile] sukuhov.livejournal.com 2007-08-19 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
:D;;; Why thank you! ♥

9. ...well, age. Seriously. But when she gets older, I think I could see it.

1. Oooh, me too! I adore that movie! (& I thought I was alone XD)♥

5.He & Hurley were very much the reason I'm was still watching (I know Hurley is still there but Charlie...!!) :(

[identity profile] sopoliini.livejournal.com 2007-08-19 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)
15: Aha, poor you. I have a stack of very very xrated doujins laying in plain sight and no one ever bothered to look into them or anything. Living in a house where no one really gives a flying fuck is pretty neat.

20: Seconded. Music was okay, but I never considered it to be a great anime. Kinda bored me to be honest. Even less of a fan after getting lots of shit for not liking it too much.

uh...ego plz?
You seem to have SUCH a huge head about Disney fandom, it's a little annoying. Also I'm pretty sure people are more interested in your reaction to the secret than your scientific observations on the rising levels of Disney secrets.

Punks and emos and goths, who 'reject the mainstream'.
It's like the anti-mainstream, so it's just as futile trying to stand out as an individual. WhooooooOOOOooo ironyyyyy

Dude, yeah. Everyone knows Victor Huge is dead, he ain't readin' no open letters any time soon

Refusing to like something just because it's popular is as stupid and mindlessly following the crowd.

7. Christ. If this is the kind of spite you spew out, I agree with the person you're posting about.

Stardust, film. Should... still be in theaters, I believe. Based on a Neil Gaiman novel. [/tmi]

I think your comment could be abbreviated to

"I got a D in chemistry and don't have a job."

I'm not the OP, and I agree she sounds like a bitch, but wow, hypocritical much? She's complaining that somebody judges her as stupid just because she's a cheerleader. And "spite", what the fuck? So saying "I'm not stupid, I'm actually an intelligent person but I just don't like you" is spiteful and mean, but the 50% of secrets here that are "You fucking ruined this character for me I hate the way you RP your fanfiction sucks balls and I can never watch this series again" is totally okay?

hi, I am the OP of #7

(Anonymous) 2007-08-19 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
my secret was a joke, I think there is maybe one person here who caught it. I have not been in high school for 3 years but am glad to see that I could still pull off the tone. meanwhile, fandom responds with the exact knee-jerk "you snotty bitch!!!11!11!" shit that I had expected.

I am replying to you because you might be one of like two or three people who did not have that reaction. whether or not you think fake cheerleader is stupid, you went for a positive answer, and that is heartwarming. part of the reason I don't associate with fandom very much is because of the sheer level of wildly disproportionate emotion that goes in it. people post secrets here about how they are ruined forever because of one person's fanfiction, or that somebody's RPing of a character hurts their soul, or that they are crushed to death because their mom has grounded them from watching tv. people saying their lives were saved by a tv show? what? fandom is an escape from reality, and there's nothing wrong with that, but when people start preferring to live in fandom at the expense of necessary reality, something is very wrong. I picked a cheerleader for this because everybody hates cheerleaders, and school is often not that pleasant. but for people to react so violently and hatefully is...yeah. there are some people who make fandom their entire lives and that is scary to me. I love cool stuff and being a fan of it, but some people take it to the extreme.

at any rate, you are a kind and obviously intelligent person. you win the prize, as did everyone else who realized it was a joke. thumbs up.

that was a significant typo!

(Anonymous) 2007-08-19 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
meant to say "I'm the OP"

because I am the OP

and the fact that so many people don't get that it's a very obvious joke is pathetic (but kudos to the ones who did). in the meantime, enjoy being irrationally angry every time someone says that some parts of life are more important than fandom.

Hell. Fucking. Yes.
I seriously don't want to even touch that book. From what I've heard, it's a bad vampire ripoff of Fruits Basket with Native Americans thrown in. Do not want.

19) Did he make that face after you were done with the blowjob? Inquiring minds wish to know.

[identity profile] liz-a-c.livejournal.com 2007-08-19 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I just rented the anime from Netflix but it hasn't arrived at my house yet. Should I be worried about my parents finding out what it is? I really don't want them to freak out or anything.

[identity profile] luna-kitsu-blu.livejournal.com 2007-08-20 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
wow, 16, some how I missed your stupid.

This entire secret squicks me and now I know why my friend imed me going "HATE FOR 16."

Dear, if your attempt at uniqueness is laughable. The fact you're clinging to it to this level and those are the BEST excuses you can come up with for what you like? Wow. Just wow.

You like Kingdom Hearts because its a fun game, NOT because 'No One Likes Disney'--stupid statement #1

You like Naruto because its a good show and you like watching it, NOT because Anime is apparently 'not well liked'--that's a serious wtf

And you like Harry Potter because the writing is good and the story is catchy.

The fact you have to excuse your interests with bullshit, VAGUE excuses like this is so stupid it's sad. Is this because of your OWN personal fucked-up-ness or do your friends give you shit for liking good things?
