Fandom is an eye-opening learning experience ;)

Re: Scared anon here

Someone has to take the plunge and write the first fic. Someone has to be there to start off the fandom. Maybe more people will start writing once they know a fandom exists, no matter how small it is.

You're a better person than me. I'd have ripped them a new one.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
But breaking the rules is part of the process. Copy copy copy until you can stand on your feet and create something new, something that's yours. It's a valid explanation.

> comparing the Holocaust to the egg industry.

Really. Eggs can be harvested without being fertilized. There is no life lost, unlike the Holocaust.

Logic seems to be wasted on them.

I suspect this to be one of the reasons for my gender identity issues.

If you don't mind my asking, what do you mean?

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Interesting. Most of the Hindus I know aren't vegetarians so it didn't make sense.

2) Sorry, I misread.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Some Hindus are not vegetarians. I'm friends with entire families who are not vegetarians.

(Anonymous) 2012-11-26 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Your experience is the opposite of mine. Most Hindus I know eat meat. Only one family is completely vegetarian and the rest of their relatives eat meat. In my experience, Hindu vegetarians are the exception, not the norm.

WHERE IS THE REST OF IT?

I'm kidding. The Magic School Bus is a great show, I don't know if a live-action movie can be as magical as the cartoons.

I used to listen to the Escaflowne and Inuyasha OSTs back to back on repeat. ♥

I like the GitS:SAC and Cowboy Bebop soundtracks more than the Escaflowne soundtrack, but all of them are full of ~nostalgia~ ♥

Princess Tutu is great! I watched it right after Gurren Lagann so it's like double the awesome. ♥

Yep, the logo is a giant red herring that almost everyone falls for XD

Hi! I did some "research" and I'm pretty sure this is a clip from "The World of Kaoru Wada: The Time of Evocation". Kaoru Wada is the composer of the Inuyasha soundtrack. The orchestra is the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and this performance was recorded live at Suntory Hall, Tokyo, on November 05, 2003. The conductor is Kaoru Wada himself! I mean, I'd be happy too if I were to conduct my own composition in front of a live audience at the nation's capital with a top-grade professional orchestra. :D

This isn't the full performance of "Fantasia Inuyasha" though. This is actually the second half of the fantasia and the orchestra probably did not play the whole thing. You can hear the full fantasia here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPilI8V_w90. This is a recording from "The Echo of Japan - Die Musik von Kaoru Wada" live performace. The orchestra's the Cologne Radio Orchestra and they were conducted by Kaoru Wada. It was recorded on August 28, 2009 at Cologne, Germany.

And lastly, this is a wind orchestra (band) performance of Inuyasha. It's another good rendition! I don't know who played it though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-4H95JhxLU

Long story short, I didn't want to be a girl because I didn't want to be a trophy wife or a stay at home mom.

Oh man. that is so cool to know. Now I like the video even more knowing that he's the composer! Happy, happy smiles. Thank you!!!

And thanks for the additional links; this music is so gorgeous. I will never tire of it in all its iterations.
