I'd say they are, by CLAMP standards. They went through all the usual CLAMP BL couples tropes: belligerent sexual tension and lost eyes and arms.

Like the anon above me, I couldn't bring myself to finish reading this series either but I would want this just to see the wank that would explode. I remember when I was in fandom how there were so many haters for that pairing and quite a few of them were really intense about it.

So it might be worth it to see those people get a bug up their butt if they're still around.

But I doubt CLAMP would ever do that. They tease and tease but actual couples I find are a bit rarer.

Really? I rarely have interest in m/m slash, but KuroFai is one of the few m/m slash ships I really like. They are so awesome and sidestep dumb yaoi tropes (mostly because Fye is such a troll).

Clamp has made several canon gay couples. I really think the only reason they didn't tack on some extra dialogue confirming KuroFai (a la Touya/Yukito) is because Tsubasa is the most boys-oriented series they've done.

Probably won't happen. CLAMP is one of the biggest queerbaiting groups in manga--I can't even count how many couples wind up "implied" but never followed through on.

They have more canon couples than implied couples. Just because they don't kiss or they don't say "I love you" it doesn't mean that they're not canon.

I can't really consider Clamp to fit into that category, at least how it's applied to Supernatural/Merlin/etc. They were cautious about their gay couples, but they did go there several times. Cardcaptor Sakura really shocked me, for example - it's such a kiddie series, it was published in the 90s, but they had Yukito unambiguously say his feelings.

i basically (slash)ship everything under the sun, but for some reason this pairing never did it for me. i really just prefer them to be friends. idek why. :| i just wish there was more gen-fic with them, but oh well.

Considering there are some "fans" who like to claim that Subaru/Seishirou and Touya/Yukito were just friends, don't hold your breath for them ever admitting that KuroFay is canon.

I swear I had never seen such a vocal homophobic fandom when there are many gay character.

And I hope that all of the shippers who have a fit trying to list all the reasons why they're secretly married will finally learn to sit down and allow people to have their opinions. Equally though people need to stop being legitimately offended at the idea of interpreting their relationship as romantic.

Now I adore this ship, loved it to pieces since I first got into CLAMP, but neither interpretation is wrong. The issue is people believing that their interpretation of their relationship is law and there is no way ever ever they can be gay/friends.

I love this couple to bits, but I don't really mind if it's not ever 'officially' canon. Ship and let ship and all that, as long as no one feels the need to stuff their opinion down everyone else's throat or mock people for daring to ship/not ship a couple they disagree with. And most of the really abrasive people likely wouldn't shut up even if they did become canon anyway.

They're not a canon couple. The only canon m/m couples in CLAMP are Touya/Yukito, Kakei/Saiga, and I can't remember the other, from Clover, maybe. Poor Subaru and Seishirou didn't have a chance to be a couple.

CLAMP is full of fanservice without follow through.
