To quote, the anon above said, "Considering there are some "fans" who like to claim that Subaru/Seishirou and Touya/Yukito were just friends...." The issue is not, "Do they count as a a 'canon pairing' or having 'love or romance as a ship would usually be'?" The issue is, "Do they have some canon relationship beyond 'just friends'?" And whatever else you can say about Subaru and Seishiro, you cannot say they are "just friends" without contradicting textual (as opposed to subtextual) canon.
