No. No you can't.

I don't care for hetalia at all (HOMESTUCCCCKKKK) but I'm sure your canon is inferior and you are a dick. This isn't trolling. It's the fact that every other person who talks like you is a dick with an inferior product. Cause if you were so damn good your stuff eclipsed the source material , you'd have something of your own to begin with.

Pretty much this.

Sometimes I think you're really harsh, noodly, but this is not one of those times.

XD Tennant!Casanova makes me laugh every time. Though I was sad that the 'guy' he fell for turned out to be a woman in disguise, because it could have been so well done/dealing with confusion and feelings if they'd left 'him' as a him. :/ [/random tangent]

That, or I'm just too damn lazy to go out and devote myself to making a source material of my own. I highly suspect the latter myself, given that I enjoy playing around with all the awesome of my ideas but balk at anything else.

In which case you don't even have a source material of your own to BE inferior, since you haven't even created something.

I don't care for Hetalia either, though I have seen most of the anime and read most of the comic strips (I have a friend who loves it), and what it is, is basically the ideal fandom for canon Sues.

The characters have next to no personality, just a few "type" traits, and as they're countries people feel they can ~expand~ on the personalities of the characters by looking at history. One can take any character and make them the perfect, tailor made Sue, but with the benefit of them being a canon character.

This. And turning characters, or patron nations most of the time, into sues is exactly what already happens. Himaruya kinda sucks at writing, but I can see the appeal of blank slate ocs pretty much.
