So, F!S, which smush names do you hate/like the most?

I don't like Johnlock and Joanlock. Nothing to do with the pairings, but I just don't like how they sound. Yullen, on the other hand, makes me shudder because of some fans I associate with the pairing.

A good one that I can think of is Peeniss. I can't imagine using it seriously to tag discussions or art, but it made me laugh when I first heard it :D

I don't mind Joanlock but Johnlock has always really annoyed me for some reason.

I laughed my ass off when Joshua Malina tweeted, after the last episode of Scandal, "no more Dabby". So now I'm simultaneously in love and in hate with that portmanteau name.

In general though I don't really care for the smush names

Snotacon. Just... Snotacon. It sounds like a pedophile with a runny nose, and I can't believe people gave such a great pairing that terrible of a name.

Also, bangthewangshipping, which is the pairing of Gary and his left hand and his right hand. Not to be confused, of course, with clapshipping, which is the Gary's right hand/Gary's left hand without Gary himself involved.

Snacon and Otake aren't very flattering either. And how the fuck do people navigate the Pokemon fandom? Does everyone keep a spreadsheet or something?

Sterek. I am a big fan of the pairing (in certain incarnations), but the ship name... ugh. It makes me shudder. It sounds like a piece of frightening medical equipment. "These forceps are no good... pass me the sterek!"

Just the other day my friend pointed out that the ship name for DeWitt/Dominic (from Dollhouse, whose fandom is so small it doesn't really use portmanteaus) would be Demonic. Which I thought was just awesome.

For terrible ones, absolutely anything at all from the Buffyverse fandom. Some particularly "great" ones: Spawn/Dike, Fuffy, Spander, Spillow, Fawn, Frunn.
