I simply can't understand the concept of a music "snob". You enjoy music that you enjoy regardless of whoever else might also like it.

The only place where snobbery fits in is if a big part of your musical appreciation lies not in the enjoyment of music but in the bragging to others about your enjoyment of music -- which seems like a game where the only result is that you end up listening to a lot of music you don't like and feeling guilty because your brain is the way it is.

You like a lot of unpopular music, that's fine -- no shame in it. No back pats, either. I'd say the same thing if you liked a lot of popular music.

Pick the songs for your AMV that you like. Or pick music that you know other people will, even if it isn't your fav, if what you want is a lot of clicks. You don't need to tie yourself in knots over some silly rules that don't exist.

I couldn't imagine being a music snob. Just think of all the music you could be missing because you* won't give it a chance because it doesn't measure up to your standards.

I love this post. Enjoying a genre doesn't meant you must enjoy *all* of that genre, or *only* that genre.
